Memories of John

Share your favourite memories, stories, or thoughts about John. Your words mean the world to the family.

“Uncle John, I reckon you were just getting out of nappy duty personally :) I didn't know you well, but we family and what I do know is all the wonderful photos I have of you and your siblings as children and the stories I've been told. What I also know is that you gave me the two best gifts ever in my "baby cuzzes" Shelly and B... because they're my world. And I keep them in line time to time. And I got Auntie Sherl...we all got this. You start making the koeksisters and organise the biltong hey?! We'll see you when we get there. Xxx”

“John was a real treasure! He liked nothing more than to share some good old South African stories also with a bit of Afrikaans thrown in! He loved a delicious bobouti pronounced bob-a-tee!! It was a privilege to know John and his devoted Shirlee always by his side. RIP 🙏 JOHN”
